We help entrepreneurs fulfill their dreams. Based in Louisville, KY, Tarkington Partners was established in 2017, by Louisville attorney Ekumene “E” Lysonge. The Tarkington Partners portfolio is a diverse set of unique investments that combines solid real estate holdings, attractive profitable business’, and emerging high growth companies with strong leadership and tremendous upside. Applying the Tarkington Partners business disciplines and oversight, we firmly believe our investment portfolio is positioned for strong growth and significant long-term value creation.


Ekumene M. Lysonge or “E”
After moving to Louisville with his family in 2010, Mr. Lysonge founded Tarkington Partners (TP) in 2017, with a vision of establishing an investment firm that drives global inspiration, offering hope to those less fortunate, while generating superior returns to all stakeholders.

“E” as many refer to him is the Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of CafePress Inc., a NASDAQ listed publicly-trade company (“CafePress”). Prior to joining CafePress, he served as Vice President, Legal Affairs and Assistant Secretary for Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI”), producers of the Kentucky Derby. Mr. Lysonge graduated, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Fisk University and received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Prior to joining CDI, he served as Vice President & Counsel for the Pedcor Companies, a leading developer of market rate and affordable housing communities in the midwestern United States. Mr. Lysonge’s career began as an associate with the law firm of Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis, Indiana. He also served as staff attorney with the Simon Property Group, an S&P 100 company and one of the largest REITs in the world. He is a former member of the board of directors of: Kentucky State University, a historically black college and one of America’s land grant institutions; the Transit Authority of River City (“TARC”) operator of the public transportation systems for Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana; the Louisville Sports Commission; the Lincoln Foundation; and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. Mr. Lysonge is also the President of the Kentucky chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, a global bar association representing 40,000 members employed by over 10,000 organizations in 85 countries.
